Stmarys Church choir was formed in the year 1937. The main objective of it”s formation was to lead the congregation in singing praises to the Lord during the worship services. Those who have the willingness to sing for the Lord join the choir after their consecration. Special uniforms are given to the choristers.
One of the activities of the choir is visiting the bereaved families and singing songs of comfort. September first sunday of every year is set apart for the choristers and is known as the “Choir Sunday”. It”s the choristers who assist the Presbyter in the worship service on this sunday. Every year the Christmas carol service is conducted on Dec. 23rd. It”s one of the main activities of the church choir.
